Nice Hansa's range covers four scenarios, not four price points to pick between blindly. Work through these three questions before comparing anything else.
How much does your gate weigh?
Under 500kg keeps you in Drive 500 or Drive 600 territory. Above that — up to 1,000kg — you need the Drive 1000. Swing leaves up to 450kg point to the Titan 510HS.
How often does it open?
A handful of times a day suits the Drive 600's lighter duty cycle. A busy household, office, or shared driveway suits the Drive 500 or Drive 1000, both built for sustained daily cycling.
Sliding or swing?
Sliding needs a clear run of wall to travel along. Swing needs clear space to open into. If you're not sure which your driveway allows, that's exactly what the site visit settles.
Nice Drive 500
Built for gates that open and close all day, every day.
The Drive 500 is Nice Hansa's high-traffic sliding gate operator, rated for gates up to 500kg and 5 metres in length. It's the model we reach for on family homes, offices and any driveway where the gate genuinely gets used — a school run in the morning, deliveries through the day, and everyone coming home in the evening.
A backlit display makes programming and fault-finding straightforward on site, and the built-in ET-Blu Mix receiver handles up to 1,000 remotes across four channels, so a household, office, or small estate doesn't run short of codes as people come and go.

Nice Drive 600
The same 500kg capacity, built for a gate that isn't in constant use.
The Drive 600 carries the same 500kg gate rating as the Drive 500, but it's engineered and duty-rated for lighter, less frequent cycling — a gate opened a few times a day rather than dozens. For a lot of residential properties, that's a more honest match to how the gate is actually used, and it's usually the more sensible choice on cost as a result.
Everything that matters for day-to-day reliability carries over: the same core electronics, the same backup battery approach, the same straightforward on-site programming.

Nice Drive 1000
For gates the Drive 500 and 600 aren't built to move.
Double the gate mass rating of the Drive 500 and 600, the Drive 1000 is built for heavier steel gates, longer runs, and the kind of daily cycling that comes with a commercial premises, an estate entrance, or an industrial yard. A 98% duty cycle at rated load means it's genuinely engineered to run close to continuously, not just tolerate the occasional busy morning.
The unit houses up to two internal backup batteries rather than one, giving longer runtime through extended outages — a real consideration for gates that can't afford to sit idle at a business entrance.

Nice Titan 510HS
A fast, surface-mounted operator for swing gates.
The Titan 510HS handles swing leaves up to 3.7 metres or 450kg, opening a full 90 degrees in as little as 12 to 19 seconds — noticeably quicker than most residential swing motors, which matters more than it sounds like once you're actually waiting at your own gate every morning.
A magnetic encoder gives the motor precise, stable obstacle detection that doesn't drift out of calibration over time the way some mechanical systems do, and the key release at the top of the unit means the gate can still be opened by hand in a power cut, without needing to dig out a manual or call anyone.

MyNice SmartGo
Puts a gate remote on everyone's phone — and a lot more besides.
SmartGo is a small module that connects your gate motor to WiFi and Bluetooth, then hands control over to the MyNice SmartGo app. Once it's paired, anyone you've added can open the gate from their phone — no separate remote to hand out, lose, or forget to collect back from a former employee.
It goes further than a basic remote replacement. Each user gets their own access, individually revocable, and every open or close is logged. You can generate a time-limited access link for a contractor or a visitor — valid for a set window, then it simply stops working, with no need to physically retrieve anything afterwards. An optional intercom plate at the gate lets a visitor scan a code and speak to you directly before you decide to let them in.

Questions worth asking before you decide
Is Drive 500 or Drive 600 actually right for me — they have the same weight rating?
Frequency of use, not weight, is what separates them. If your gate opens dozens of times a day — a busy household, an office, shared access — go with the Drive 500. If it's a standard home gate opened a handful of times daily, the Drive 600 is built for exactly that and is usually the more sensible spend.
Can I add MyNice SmartGo to a motor I already have installed?
In most cases, yes — SmartGo is designed as a retrofit for compatible Nice systems. Bring us your motor's model and approximate installation date and we'll confirm compatibility before you commit to anything.
What happens if my gate is heavier than the Drive 1000's 1,000kg rating?
That moves into genuinely industrial territory — heavy steel commercial gates or specialist applications — which we handle with a different motor class entirely. Tell us the actual weight during your site visit and we'll spec accordingly rather than force-fitting a residential-grade unit.
Does the Titan 510HS work on a single gate leaf, or only double gates?
Both — it's specified per leaf, so a single-leaf swing gate uses one unit and a standard double-leaf gate uses two, one per side.
How accurate are the prices on this page?
